Today's Forgotten Oldie...

"When I Was Young" by Eric Burdon and the Animals came out in early 1967 and spent the year traveling around the world, becoming a hit in many countries.  It reached #15 in the U.S., #10 in Canada and #2 in Australia.  At the time of this record, the band had moved from England to California.  Written by all five band members, the song's counter-cultural theme made it a favorite number for punk and metal bands to cover.  It's a solid song and surprisingly meaningful today...
