Partridge Family

From 1970 to 1974, the Partridge Family ruled Friday night TV.  Loosely patterned after The Cowsills, the fictional family was led by Shirley Jones and her two older kids; David Cassidy and Susan Dey.  Interestingly, David Cassidy was hired mostly because of his looks, but he turned out to be a pretty good musician and his vocals dominate the band's music.  In 1971 the PF had a huge hit with "I'll Meet You Halfway", hitting #9 on the Hot 100.  Today it's a forgotten oldie.
