Today's Forgotten Oldie...

I remember the Who breaking onto the rock scene but the first song they did that I really liked was "Magic Bus".  The song was written by Pete Townshend during the time that My Generation was being recorded in 1965. However, it was not recorded by The Who until 1968 and officially released in the US in September 1968. It has become one of the band's most popular songs and has been a concert staple, although when released, the record only reached number 26 in the United Kingdom and number 25 in the United States.  But DJ's loved the song and played the heck out of it in the fall of '68.  It has since appeared in video games (Rock Band 2), movies and TV shows, but it seems to have been forgotten on the radio...
