Today's Forgotten Oldie...

The Partridge Family was another pre-fab TV band that was created specifically for a TV show and yet squeezed out a few legitimate hits on the radio.  Although the music was largely a result of studio musicians, the majority of the vocals were provided by show stars David Cassidy and Shirley Jones.  "I'll Meet You Halfway" was a top ten smash in 1971, reaching #9 on the Hot 100.  Labeled bubble-gum, their music was catchy and deserves more respect than it received.  Listen to one of their albums and I think you'll be surprised at how good it is.
