Nancy Sinatra took the song "These Boots Are Made For Walking" all the way to #1 exactly 48 years ago today... yep, the song hit number one in the U.S. on February 26, 1966. A lot of people criticised the song and the singer... Nancy for being Frank Sinatra's daughter and using her looks to sell records, and the song for being too "cutesy". But it went to the top, people loved it, and happily Nancy proved her great vocal talent a couple years later when she recorded the theme song to the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice". Ya gotta admit she was good looking too!
