Mandy was a #1 song for Barry Manilow in 1975.  The song was actually a hit in England for Scott English in 1971, and in New Zealand for Bunny Walters in 1972... however the song was titled "Brandy" not "Mandy". Barry changed the name to avoid confusion with the Looking Glass song "Brandy (You're A Fine Girl).  It was Manilow's first number one, and is now largely ignored.
