Yeah I know, this is debatable. But of all my past favorites, this show was very near the top... WKRP in Cincinnati. Andy Travis the program director, Jennifer Malone the hot receptionist, Arthur Carlson the "big guy", Herb Tarlek the sales manager of questionable sales ability, Les Nessman the weird news guy, Bailey Quarters the girl Friday, Venus Flytrap the funky overnight announcer, and the morning man I can never hope to emulate... the amazing Doctor Johnny Fever!!
I always got a kick out of the fact that a top-rated TV show was about a struggling radio station, something very ironic there. Does anyone remember the great Thanksgiving Promotion that Mr. Carlson dreamed up? Where they dropped 20 live turkeys from a helicopter onto a mall parking lot... only to see the birds smash into cars and pavement and die... as Les (covering the event) screamed into his microphone "oh the humanity!!"
Anyway it was a great show, and I miss it!
