Potholes...

So what's wrong with potholes? If you ask me, they provide us with recreation, a chance for some fish in the freezer, and an option to wasting bath water!  They're fun!

Let's start the week with a goofy picture that needs a caption.  I can't think of anything for this one!

The Association is a seven man (sometimes six-man) band from California that scored several monster hits in the late 60's.  A favorite with the ladies, the band's last top-ten hit was "Everything That Touches You" in late 1968.  The group is still active on the "Happy Together" tours, and still performs this song live... but it's rare to hear it on the radio, another forgotten oldie.

Her name was Joanne!

After Mike Nesmith left the Monkees in 1970, he formed the First National Band, and recorded an album... "Magnetic South".  He released a couple of singles from the album, but "Joanne" was the only one to chart.  A top 40 hit in the U.S. the song reached number 4 in Canada and #1 in a couple of other countries.  I like the song, it's kind of country, and very different... and a true forgotten oldie.

Oooooops....

Yesterday's photo of the original SNL cast is wrong!!  I forgot about Chevy Chase.  Bill Murray joined in 1977 after the show's second season.  My apologies!  Here's the original cast (L to R back row - Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman, Chevy Chase, Garrett Morris, front row - John Belushi, Gilda Radner).

Mirror girl...

One of those great photos that has to be shared.  This young lady knows how to get the most out of a mirror!!

I saw this online over the weekend and had to save it.... a picture of the original SNL cast.  Was there ever a more talented group brought together for anything on TV?  I don't think so!!
