See see rider...

The song "See See Rider" was first made popular by a blues singer named Ma Rainey in 1925.  A traditional 12-bar blues song, it has since been performed and recorded by dozens of artists.  In 1966, the Animals took it to #10 on the Hot 100.  I remember a lot of the local bands doing the song back in the 60's, but today it's just another mostly forgotten oldie.

Gordon Waller Tribute

Gordon Waller was half of the 60's duo Peter and Gordon. They racked up a number of great hits and continued to perform together until Gordon's death in 2009.  Gordon was born on June 4, 1945... so in tribute to a big part of the British Invasion, a forgotten oldie from Peter and Gordon that features Gordon heavily on vocals... the top 20 hit from 1965 "True Love Ways"... a true forgotten oldie.

Pushin' Too Hard

I will never understand why this song doesn't get regular air-play. Considered one of the 500 songs that shaped rock and roll, the song "Pushin' Too Hard" by The Seeds is a garage band classic that was a top 40 hit in 1967, and is largely forgotten today!
