If you disagree with me on this, well, I'm sorry. But I think what Governor Doyle did yesterday is embarassing for Wisconsin. He sure didn't do anything to help his embarassing approval numbers, below 40 percent. He didn't help the embarassing 6.6 billion budget deficit in Wisconsin. And he didn't help the 9+ percent of the state that's unemployed. So what did he add to his "legacy" yesterday?
He vetoed the bill that would have allowed a bear hunter with a "B" license to kill a wounded bear that had been shot by a hunter with an "A" license in the same hunting party. He said he was worried that wardens couldn't tell who shot the bear. Yeah right, just let the wounded animal suffer as long as possible. You've never hunted have you governor?
He also vetoed the bill allowing raw milk to be sold in Wisconsin. Never been on a farm either have you? Never stood next to a bulk tank and had a glass of ice cold milk straight from the cow. Maybe the best drink ever. I guess we just can't be trusted to decide these things for ourselves.
He also used his partial veto pen to ban using your auto as loan collateral. Now I agree that predatory loans are a bad thing, but this is just another example of the government thinking they know better than we what we do with our money and property.
Couldn't you have done something to lower taxes for once? I guess you knew what you were doing when you decided not to run in November...
